What is RAID? How can it help an organization?
We have discussed how organizational networks can help improve organizational effectiveness. However, the data that travels across networks is stored somewhere. If all of our data was stored on one disk, that would be a major risk to the organization, representing a single point of failure. There is a data storage virtualization technology that combines multiple physical disk drive components into a single logical unit for the purposes of data redundancy, performance improvement, or both. This technology is called RAID (a redundant array of independent disks). Using RAID, data is distributed across the drives in one of several ways, referred to as RAID levels, depending on the required level of redundancy and performance. Each schema, or RAID level, provides a different balance of reliability, availability, performance, and capacity.
Read the attached information about RAID, do additional research on the Internet, and discuss what RAID level would be appropriate for:
- Home Use
- A small business
- A global enterprise

When it comes to computers, it is important to make sure that a person or organization is able to make sure that their information is well maintained. There should always be clear information to determine the different levels of RAID that should be implemented in this case. For a home, the best option is the RAID 1. The main reason is that it has a huge capacity that can enable it to be able to handle the different levels of data that they need to store. It is also affordable on cost which makes it good…..
