Jonathan Lethem’s primary concern in “The Ecstasy of Influence” is artistic production and ways in which we created a culture of copyright. What are some of the dangers that he warns of in his essay? When do you feel a piece of intellectual property
can and should be copyrighted? In what cases should it not?
What are the benefits and the consequences of copyright? To answer this question, I want to see specific
examples taken from Lethem’s argument as well as
