Everyone takes a different approach to writing. I know some people write in a linear fashion meaning that they craft the introduction, purpose, thesis statement and simply continue down the paper through the content finishing with the conclusions. Others may take the approach to write the content first and then go back and craft the introduction, purpose, and thesis know that they know exactly the content of the body of the paper.
