- For Part III, you will post both YOUR response and the AI-written response – with the AI response underneath your original response. You will then briefly reflect on what you thought of this exercise and the future of writing!
Part I
Please type out your response to the following prompt in a Google or Word Doc:
In this week’s discussion, it’s time to practice with AI as you imagine the future! Based on our readings over the past 6 weeks, and this week\\\’s lesson and resources, think 20 or more years out and identify technologies that you think will be disruptive in the future. In particular, leverage your project research in this discussion and connect your future thinking to the industry/organization you have been researching, as well as the impacts for individuals, communities and society as a whole.
Part II
Using an AI writing tool (such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini), provide the AI with the information it needs to respond to our prompt. Be sure to experiment with different tones and creativity levels and generate a number of variants as you construct, curate, and generate your response to the post. Be sure to also try out source citation (be sure to validate the sources!)
Part III
In your initial post, paste both your response and the AI\\\’s response, being sure to label each one: “My Original Post” and “AI-Curated Post Written with [insert tool name here]” and then reflect on this process, most specifically your reactions to using an AI writing tool and what the difference is between “writing” and “constructing” content. How do you feel about using AI to generate your content?
