Introduction

According to OpenStax College and Rice University (2014), sociology refers to the study of interactions and social relationship between individuals, groups of people and institutions of all kinds. It’s simply the study of societies and their respective interactions; society in this case can be defined as people living in the same geographical area and who interact in one way or the other and share common characteristics such as culture or religion.
