The main ethical questions and considerations about virtue ethics

When talking about virtue ethics, Aristotle is the big name in the game. Virtue ethics doesn’t focus on particular actions but focuses on an individual’s character. However, when we talk about the good qualities of a person’s character we might give examples like courage, compassion, or generosity.

If we have a goal of being a good person though, can we ever really do something out of pure generosity?
