You learned that social power could influence a groups’ behavior and decision-making. Types of social power include information power, referent power, legitimate power, expert power, reward power, and coercive power (review page 371 of your course text).
In your post, address the following:
- Explain a situation where your decision-making was influenced by one of these powers, from your own experiences.
- Analyze the situation to check if this influence makes you a happier consumer or makes you become a potential consumer.
- Define a brand community.
- What are the advantages and functionalities of a brand community for its members or potential customers?
- Specify a brand community that you or your friend/family belong to.
- Explain what the experience looks like.
- Explain how you differentiate between “old money” versus “nouveau rich” consumers.
- Explain their relationship to social class.
- Select one of these institutions:
