Now I’ll talk about a brief case study. So your client is an 11-year-old female who was referred to you for school-related anxiety for counseling. She also has a diagnosis of epilepsy that has been well controlled on medication. Her parents have noticed lapses in attention and memory, which have been corroborated by her teacher at school. And she was recently evaluated by a neuropsychologist to assess the impact of epilepsy and anxiety on attention and memory.
Now, you as a counselor, are probably very interested in what this case would present and how to utilize it in treatment. And so I’ll be talking with Dr. Stephanie Wu in a later unit and go more in depth on how you can utilize this in treatment.
