Neurotransmitters are defined as the chemical messengers which aid the conveyance of signals from a single nerve cell to another over synapses. Some of the neurotransmitters that affect behavior include the acetylcholine which is responsible for attentiveness, anger, sexuality and aggression (Levite, 2012).
