The purpose of this assignment is to align HR strategic staffing goals through a job needs analysis for a position that does not currently exist. You will select a company from the following list of industries:
Technology
Government
Medical
In a 1,000- to 1,250-word analysis, begin by discussing the benefits of conducting a job needs analysis on the selected company. Then include the following in your analysis:
1.Provide an overview of the company, including identifying the organizational and HR strategic goals.
2.Compare the different approaches of a job needs analysis.
3.Discuss the methods and importance of linking job analysis to organizational goals.
4.Define competency models and their role in creating a job description.
5.Create a job description containing the following: job requirements, including educational requirements, minimum qualifications, desired qualifications, knowledge, specific tasks, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSAO).
In addition to using your textbook, your analysis must include a business-related website such as the WSJ, and a minimum of one additional scholarly source from the GCU Library.
