As I reflect on my time at the University of Phoenix, I have attained a better understanding of the importance of teamwork, analyzing issues and conflict resolution. I have been able to truly drill into problems that affect my area and those around me in reference to health issues and other ailments, then formulating plans of resolve. This was viewed from a county and statewide point of view. In reference to my community, I can gather the proper research to create an advanced solution for practical, everyday problems. The knowledge gained in my capstone has assisted me in my current role in more ways than one. I was able to make better informed decisions in strategic planning, project implementation, and employee engagement activities. A few key takeaways from my capstone are the assignments given correlate with real-time events and situations. Also, learning outside of the traditional brick and mortar university setting helps to bring together the analytical and practical side of situations in an effort to bridge the learning gap. “The capstone project is designed to consolidate final-year students’ learning with valuable hands-on experience to help develop them into well-prepared and well-rounded graduates” (L, 2022).
