I chose to reduce speech anxiety. Some people are more comfortable giving speeches, while most people are nervous or do have some anxiety. It is always good to prepare and know what one is going to say during a speech to avoid having some anxiety. Regardless there will be some anxiety, but there will be less if one is prepared; therefore, one will be more confident. If one is more confident and reassuring with their tone and words, the audience will react more positively.
I have noticed I will say the speech quietly to myself so I hear what it sounds like; where do I need to tweak it or change the wording and such. I have also gotten my husband to read my speech and outline to make sense in another person\’s mind.
It is essential to organize your speech and an outline so that it makes sense and is in order. You do not want to jump back and forth and confuse people; you want things to blend from one area to another without being abrupt or harsh.
