Do you have an opportunity soon to practice your public speaking skills
ANSWER THAT FIRST: This final week of our discussion, tell the class when and how you will utilize the skills that you have learned in this course. Do you have an opportunity soon to practice your public speaking skills? Are you inspired to continue to practice? If you don’t have anything coming up, is it feasible for you to practice with the video camera within the next month or two months to maintain your confidence?
Then # Just tell them what do you think about their topic. 3-5 sentence for each feedback. please do not use he/she.. give them feedback just like you are judging them.

Its finally here- the last week of public speaking!
I dont mean to be too happy, but I cannot stress enough how nerve wrenching this class has been. I knew I didn’t have strong public speaking skills, but, my goodness! Ive learned that this doesn’t come easy. Ive learned that I need to practice more often, and practice for days. I thought I was good at memorization, but this has really tested me. From chem to genetics, this has been the hardest class i’ve ever taken. Ive learned a lot though! From the confidence i’ve gained to the discussions on canvas, i’ve gotten a lot out of this class.
I dont think i’ll have an opportunity to practice within an actual public setting. It’s going to be a while before I do anything like that during the pandemic.
I wouldn’t say i’ve been inspired to continue to practice. Theres a lot more that goes into public speaking than confidence and practice. It’s a real mental weight to just think about recording a speech, let alone preforming one. Not everyone is good at public speaking, but thats okay.
I think theres a real difference in confidence when someone is speaking about something they are familiar with, or when its not for a grade. Ive spoke to hundreds of people over a microphone every weekend for two years. Never did feel the way I do about recording these speeches. Therefore, I do not think that practicing with my computer will help me the same way these graded speeches do.

I do believe this course has taught me a lot and has allowed me to gain a
lot of confidence when I am presenting. I will continue to use these
skills when I have a chance to because I know in the future there will
be classes where I will need to present something in it. This Thursday I
will actually have a chance to use these skills outside of the class
because I have to present my final project for my Global Issues class,
which I am actually excited to do. I think even after these set of
classes are over I will continue using my new found skills so I do not
lose anything I have gained from this class. Overall this class has
taught me a lot and allowed me to gain multiple new skills from how to
prepare a speech, to how to execute a certain type of speech, to how to
take a breath in between speaking. I can say the only time I get
anxious is not right before a speech, or even doing it, I do tend to get
sort of anxious when having to put all the information together and
create the speech properly because sometimes I am scared that I will not
fill up the time amount which gets me a little anxious and frustrated.

Wow, These past 7 weeks flew by!!!!
I can honestly say that I will utilize some skills from this course. I know for me, the biggest take away is the fact that I need to BREATHE, slow down and take my time. I didn’t realize how important breathing was until I received correction. I do feel more confidant than I did when I first began this class. I used to get nervous, but I hid it well. My nerves were probably the reason why I wouldn’t breathe and rush through it. I will actually get a chance to use my skills because I do Facebook live videos occasionally and now that I’ve taken this course I feel I have learned enough to make my videos more effective. I can’t wait to see if my audience will know the difference. I know my videos are more freestyle, but having structure won’t hurt. I am inspired to continue to practice. My Facebook lives will give me the practice I need. I also noticed that I love persuasive speeches. Who knew?! In all, I will continue to maintain my confidence and hopefully grow more with my Public Speaking.
