Sorting Activities
Sorting activities enable children to enhance their logical reasoning skills. Each time a child completes a given activity on sorting; there is a high chance that he or she will acquire a valuable experience in terms of making observations and grouping different items accordingly (Mayesky, 2011). To extend children thinking on sorting in school, I would ask them to point certain items such as a knife, chair, or table in a picture book. Colors can serve as appropriate tool for classification.
