For this journal please reflect on your semester long development of the Sociological Perspective studied at the beginning of the semester in Chapter 1.

You have experienced the diversity of culture, the joy of helping others, the wonder of receiving far more than you have given, the realization that you are part of a much bigger, more complex world.

A conscious effort to question the obvious…..

To remove ourselves from familiar experiences and examine them critically and objectively…..

To determine whether our generalizations about society are accurate…..

To see beyond individual experiences…..

To understand that human behavior is shaped by one’s surrounding social and cultural context…..
