Read a newspaper article based on a current social problem that our society faces

Read a newspaper article based on a current social problem that our society faces, such as homelessness. Then write an essay that clearly describes the problem being discussed in the article. Furthermore, in your essay provide an analysis of the contents of the article from one of the three main sociological perspectives (that is, functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism). You can do this by briefly discussing the key points of the sociological perspective and then discuss how the sociological perspective would help us to better understand the social problem. Also, apply the sociological concepts and terms that you have learned in class where appropriate.

The essay shall not exceed three pages (double-spaced, 12 font).
