Small business’s social media strategy
Prior to beginning work on this discussion, read Chapter 10: Social Media 2 in your textbook.
As you have explored in your textbook, social media can be very useful for small businesses. However, a Small business’s social media strategy should differ from that of a major corporation.
For this discussion, select a local company to analyze (not a national chain). For example, you might choose a well-known apartment complex near your home, a popular local restaurant, a local retail shop, or a local bookstore. Provide a brief explanation of the company and its type of business. Then complete the following:
- Determine which social media platforms the company should be active on. Consider that the company will probably only be able to have one part-time worker in charge of all social media, so it can only be active on as many platforms as it can afford to manage.
- Determine the primary and secondary objective(s) of the overall social media campaign and each platform.
- Create one sample content for one platform of your choice.
- Describe the recruitment strategy this company should follow.
- Estimate the metrics that would indicate success for this company. How many Facebook followers can the company expect to gain?
