Skin Cancer

Brad is in his late 40\’s. He spent many summers at the beach, grew up to love fishing, and now is a farmer spending most of his time outdoors. He always wanted a nice tan so sunscreen wasn\’t a priority for him. “I thought tan skin looked so much better and I felt better when I had a tan”. His wife noticed a mole on his back and encouraged him to get it checked out. He went to a dermatologist who immediately recommended a skin biopsy.

What do you think the dermatologist was thinking?
What are the two types of skin cancer Brad could have?
Which one is worse and why?
What advice would you give Brad for taking better care of his skin?
