Separation of powers

Why does the SEC get powers involving all three branches of government – legislative, executive, and judicial? I mean, doesn’t our Constitution establish separation of powers through the three branches of government? So why isn’t this unconstitutional? Why the integration?

Separation of powers refers to the purposeful division of government’s powers into distinct branches such that no single branch is strong enough to influence the direction of the others. The U.S government is made up of three branches: the legislature which is involved in making laws, the judiciary which administers justice in accordance with the law and the executive which administers laws…………………………….
