Self-image can be a very powerful part of understanding personality. Review the theories of Alfred Adler in chapter 4 (Schultz & Schultz, 2017, pp. 111-113, 117-120) and Karen Horney in chapter 5 (Schultz & Schultz, 2017, pp. 139-146). Compare and contrast their respective approaches to developing a sense of self. How might understanding the differences between these theories inform the development of your own personal understanding of personality development?
