Introduction
My professional goal is to become a nurse unit manager. A nurse unit manager is charged with the responsibility of managing a particular unit in a hospital. For one to get to this position they must have had some experience in nursing and also be qualified enough to run a unit. Most of the qualifications to becoming a nurse unit manager are learned by a nurse when they are groomed by the nurse unit manager of the unit they work in. After the nurse unit manager confirms that the nurse is well groomed, they forward the name of that particular nurse in order for that nurse to be considered for promotion to a nurse unit manager (Griffin, and Moorhead, 2014). For one to become an effective nurse unit manager, they need knowledge, skills and accomplishments.
