What are some topics from this chapter that you would be interested in exploring if you were to pursue an aviation-related Ph.D. or Av.D degree? Why do you think your choices merit additional research?

Safe aviation is what every airman expects currently and in the future aviation industry. Keep and improve safety in the future of commercial aviation, people should find current or potential issues in our aviation field. For example, flight school is most initially leading a person into the aviation field to become a pilot. Many flight school training airplanes are super old in the US currently because the owners want to reduce the airplane cost and keep very old and less good maintenance airplanes for student pilots training. New student pilots are not rich enough to pay high prices to get high-quality airplanes for their learning flights and have to fly those unsafe airplanes to finish their flying courses. These reasons contribute to many student pilots have unsafe training at a lot of flight schools currently. They do not know the potential risk from those old airplanes. Even though after those student pilots get their commercial pilot certificate, they have not touched any advanced airplane during their learning. They don\\\’t know how to fly advanced airplanes to look for a job for their aviation career.
The other potential problems may be from a political issue. As we know we are not using the same units in our aviation fields such as meters VS. feet or Fahrenheit VS. Celsius. Although in our advanced airplanes that can convert it easily by the computers, pilots still have to set them in different countries to match those counties aviation rules such as China and Russian who use meters for altitude setting. If international pilots forget it or make any mistake, it would be a significant issue for safe flights. During rush hours at some international airports, the controllers rattle off clearance very fast. Pilots have to convert the units that an additional task to an already challenging aviation environment. We hope those political issues figure out early for our global aviation field. We should have standard units for the aviation industry in the world because pilots not only stay flying in one county but also flying to other countries as well. They need to get standard unit training in their mind initially at flight school to avoid potential risk in their future commercial aviation career.
