JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

The incumbent works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) of the Local Contracts Unit. The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently coordinates and provides recommendations in the administration of the Emergency Preparedness Office (EPO) Local Assistance Program to Local Health Departments (LHD) and local entities. The AGPA will be required to perform in a lead role, collaborating with the team and management as a subject matter expert on programmatic material. The AGPA independently develops, maintains, and evaluates local assistance programs and fiscal operations. Up to 5% travel is required to attend meetings and participate in workgroups on behalf of the EPO relating to public health emergency and response issues; attend Federal and State training programs, in-services and continuing education courses, workshops, conferences, and local site visits. In order to address urgent operational needs or conduct emergency-related response activities, incumbent may, on occasion, be required to work outside core business hours, travel, and transport up to 25 lbs.
