The readings have discussed methods for thinking about the balance between equal opportunity and individual dignity. With these values in mind, write a post in which you reflect on the effectiveness of the policy of a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in supporting these values. Be sure to address the role of an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) in support of FAPE. How does the legal definition of Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and of “related services” contribute to or detract from FAPE? Consider and suggest improvements to the IEP process, if necessary.
