What are your education and degree goals? What are your career goals? How does your graduate work here at Kaplan fit into your plans and career goals? Identify your intended emphasis area (behavior analysis, substance abuse, or general psychology) and briefly discuss the field as you understand it. What licenses and/or certifications have you determined necessary to achieve in pursuit of your professional goals? What are your specific plans to achieve these goals? What steps will you take? Reflect on your research and Assignment from Unit 3 to help you. Be sure to include education and degree, accreditation, exams, and internships, as well as state licensing and certification requirements. Discuss any areas of deficiency that you will need to address to achieve your professional goals. This might include better time management, improved research skills, or more critical thinking skills. Or it might be a state licensing requirement deficiency you will need to address. Then provide a plan for addressing your areas of deficiency. Evaluate and discuss the role of this class in helping you to achieve your plan. Did you acquire the knowledge that you thought you would? What would you like to see added to this course that you feel would be an improvement? Discuss what in your emphasis area you would like to learn more about and your plan for development in those areas. PART II – Motivation and Performance in the Workplace How do you plan to use your professional development plan? Why is it important to have goals? What kinds of goals are most likely to improve motivation? How do you expect your goals will improve your motivation, performance, likelihood for success? What aspects of the work environment increase motivation, job involvement and work motivation? What steps can you take now and in your future career to ensure the highest level of job satisfaction possible? Your paper should: Follow Assignment directions (review grading rubric for best results). Use correct APA formatting per the APA Publication Manual, 6th Edition. Demonstrate college-level communication through the composition of original materials in Standard American English. Be written in Standard American English and be clear, specific, and error-free. If needed, be sure to use the Kaplan University Writing Center for help. Be five to six pages (5 -6 pages) in length, including title page and reference page. Submitting your Assignment Put your Assignment in a Word document. Save it in a location that you will remember and with your full name along with the class number. When you are ready to submit it, click on the Dropbox and complete the steps below: Click the link that says “Submit an Assignment.” In the “Submit to Basket” menu, select Unit 9: Assignment. In the “Comments” field, include at least the title of your paper. Click the “Add Attachments” button. Follow the steps listed to attach your Word document.
