– What is President Kennedy saying about the nature of human progress (science and technology) and the challenges that we must navigate as a global community? Are these challenges unique to 1961, or relative throughout human history?
– What are the goals of this speech? Isolate at least three aims of President Kennedy\’s address, identify his strategy for supporting these goals, and critique their efficacy. Is this an effective speech? Where applicable, please include a quotation or two from the speech.
Second part of written assignment:
The second question asks you to read the Declaration of Independence, one of America’s founding documents, and compose a fully developed short essay (minimum of eight paragraphs) outlining the piece’s features and commenting on its efficacy and place in American history.

These two parts should be answered separately, the three questions are linked to the first one, and the second question regarding the Declaration of Independence in it\’s own file.
