Select a goods-producing organization and a service-providing organization of your choice. Suggest ways each organization can make aggregate planning decisions using the variables described in Exhibit 13.3 in the textbook.

Compare and contrast the operational and managerial impacts of the aggregate planning decisions in terms of customer satisfaction.

Apple is a goods producing company and Starbucks is a service providing company.

Apple uses pricing strategies on demand management to keep a consistent production of their product where Starbucks uses promotions and advertising to keep customers coming back.

Apple does have an increase in production due the release of a new Apple product such as a new Iphone or tablet causing potential overtime whereas Starbucks would stay pretty constant throughout the year.

Apple would have anticipated inventory when they release a new product to make sure they make enough to keep up with the demand and stockouts do occur. Starbucks has to anticipate when a new drink is released to have the stores stocked with necessary supplies.
