Many of these approaches are theories about how organizations function and what communication is. Your task in this essay is to articulate your own definition of organizational communication. Draw from the theories you have read and explore their merits. Which approaches to thinking about organizations and about communication seem best in your view? Why?
How do they help us understand the communication needs that the organizations we work for have?
How do they help us understand the way in which written, oral, and/or visual communication helps to constitute an organization?
