Overview
It’s impossible to study the real estate operations issues associated with Urban Economics without discussing amenities. There is a growing body of economic research indicating people will pay more to have access to urban amenities. Instructions This essay has four Research Questions (RQs), you must provide these three separate components: theory>research>analysis.
Before answering these four RQs you should have completed the reading assignments for Week Four.
NOTE: The more each student knows about the theory associated with each research question the more precise and in-depth the research agenda will become. In addition, a strong theory and research section will also guide the analysis section (the last section). The analysis section is where each student will thoughtfully contemplate the theory and research and then “analytically” connect the two. In your professional careers the analysis section will guide the company. In grad school your analysis section should be connected to your course.
RQ1: From the perspective of urban areas, what is “quality of life” and analyze through the lens of amenities associated with a quality of life.
RQ2: How could Real Estate Developers and/or Operations Managers use the Central Place Theory to improve their real estate offerings?
RQ3: How could government (agencies or stakeholders) shape or directly influence/create public good amenities that effect/affect Real Estate Markets/Operations?
RQ4: What are “consumer cities” and analyze through the lens of Real Estate Markets or Operations.
Length of this assignment is minimum of five pages of text excluding title page and reference page(s).
Format of assignment is the most current APA Guidelines.
Number of citations required is eight, please provide at least two scholarly resources for each Research Question (RQ) and parenthetically cite within the text.
