The issue of National ID cards has been an off and on topic in the country. Over the decades, there have been several calls for them although people continuously reject them. This however can be justified if the pros and cons of the ID cards are critically analyzed. The government tends to push for the ID cards due to problems of immigration and terrorism (Goessl, 2010).
