Case Study

In the scenario given in the case study above, there are issues of transference. Transference takes place when one person unconsciously redirects feelings from one person to another. The client trusted his brother so much and when he noticed that the physician reminded him of his brother, he unconsciously transferred those feeling to him. The client refers to the brother as a kind and outgoing person and these feeling are now transferred to the physician.
