Maslow and Rogers are both Humanistic theorists and their theories have some concepts in common
Maslow and Rogers are both Humanistic theorists and their theories have some concepts in common, such as self-actualization, but they also differ in some respects. For this assignment I will need to do all of the following:
- Describe and discuss one aspect, other than theories, of Maslow’s theory and one aspect, other than self-actualization, of Rogers’ theory and state how they are similar and how they are not alike
- State which of these aspects of the theories I think has more validity and give at least 2 reasons for your thinking
- Discuss the similarities and differences between the two theorist’s definitions of self-actualization and state which I find to be more valid. Give at least 2 reasons for my thinking
- Describe what characteristics I believe a modern self-actualized person would possess
- State what conditions or circumstances I think would need to be present in modern society for people to reach a state of self-actualization as I am defining it.
I must use at least 2 sources other than, or in addition to, book and be sure to cite them in the work!
I will pick ONE of the following ways to accomplish this task and I must include ALL of the elements that are listed with my choice in my submission. The work MUST be original and may not use to post YouTube Video, a textbook PowerPoint, etc. Anyone caught doing that will get zero points on this assignment and may fail the class as well. (Also, remember that no matter which of the following I choose to do, I must include ALL of the elements described above to get credit for this assignment!)
