For the assignment listed below, I have choose the two strengthens. I will also post the idea for action for both because you will need this to help answer the questions. If you think that I need different strength for the assignment please let me know and I will pick 2 more. 1 for each employee. The two strengths are analytical and restorative.
In Rath’s StrengthsFinder 2.0, a description section for each strength is provided, as well as a section called “Ideas for Action.” You will use the Ideas for Action section tocomplete Assignment #3.
Imagine you are a manager of a small department whose overall performance has been slowly declining over the past few quarters. You have chosen 2 of your team members to develop a strategy to improve your department’s performance. REMEMBER: These 2 employees have diverse strengths and their own unique way of approaching their work. They will most likely have diverse approaches to this task.
Write a two to four (2-4) page document OR create a 2-4 minute video in which you:
Choose ONE strength for each employee (i.e. Analytical & Relator)? How did each of your 2 employees approach the task based on their unique strengths (i.e. What did the Analytical employee focus on to develop the strategy? What did the Relator focus on to develop this strategy?)?
Based on each employee’s approach (using Rath’s Ideas for Action), how will you train and develop each employee (i.e. In what areas might the Analytical employee need training? In what areas might the Relator employee need training?)? Be specific in your response.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
Typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
Analytical
-Choose work in which you are paid to analyze data, find patterns, or organize ideas. For example, you might excel in marketing, financial, or medical research or in database management, editing, or risk management.
-Take an academic course that will expand your Analytical talents. Specifically, study people whose logic you admire.
-You may remain skeptical until you see solid proof. Your skepticism ensures validity, but others may take it personally. Help others realize that your skepticism is primarily about data, not people.
-Make sure that your accumulation and analysis of information always lead to its application and implementation. If you don’t do this naturally, find a partner who pushes you from theory to practice, from thinking to doing. This person will help ensure that your analysis doesn’t turn into paralysis.

Restorative
-Seek roles in which you are paid to solve problems or in which your success depends on your ability to restore and resolve. You might particularly enjoy roles in medicine, consulting, computer programming, or customer service.
-Turnaround situations activate your natural forte. Use your Restorative talents to devise a plan of attack to revitalize a flagging project, organization, business or team.
-Think about ways you can improve your skills and knowledge. Identify any gaps you have and the course you can take to fill them.
-Leverage your restorative talents not only to tackle existing problems, but also to anticipate and prevent problems before they occur. Share your foresight and your solutions with others, and you will prove yourself a valuable partner.

The performance of marketing department over the last few months has significantly declined. With this reason, the manager has come up with a team of two employees with diverse skills who will look into the department and restore its performance.
