Folk is the genre and traditional music that evolved from the folk revival. Ragtime is a kind of piano based jazz style that was developed in 20th century. Jazz is a type of black American music characterized by syncopation, improvisation, and usually a regular rhythm (Firat, & Kuryel, 2011). Rock is a popular music that originated from United States in 1950s and later developed in range of different styles.  Pop music is a popular genre which originated in 1950s. Hip hop music is a genre consisting of different regular music accompanied by a rhyming speech.  The above types of music have influenced one another because people have been using the same styles in the music types above…………………………………………….
