Again, it is so cool that we work for the same company but in different states! I completely agree with you about our supply chain. A perfect example: there is a national shortage of the drug Albuterol, which is the most common respiratory drug we give in nebulizers for shortness of breath. The day that announcement was nationally made, the pharmacy part of the supply chain alerted all of the respiratory care managers. Although our supply chain was more than adequately stocked, we alerted all physicians and RTs and made a plan B in case we did run out. So far we have not had to put plan B into effect (praying hard it does not happen!), but I can appreciate the very early warning for any potential threats.
