Course Objective(s):

Contrast different ownership / management structure common in lodging

A package is one or more items offered to attract groups and guests for a single price. They may be rooms-only packages, or they could include more items such as meals, rental vehicles, or even shows and other entertainment options.

You are the sales and marketing manager of a full-service hotel located in a metropolitan area of a major city. Your hotel provides convention facilities; family accommodations; and good options for couples, newlyweds, anniversaries, and holidays.

You must develop a package for promotion in the coming year: (select one)

A package for holiday

Determine which items you will include in each of these packages.

For the package you create, discuss the target market (e.g., individuals, groups, leisure travelers, or business travelers).

After you have created the package, compose a summary of why the package offers an advantage from a marketing/sales perspective.
