Assessment Description
The purpose of this case study assignment is to guide you through the process of enhancing the Logical Framework (LogFrame) by adding assumptions and creating a comprehensive risk register for successful project leadership.
Revisit the “Kitchen Heaven Project Case Study” in Chapter 2 and read the “Kitchen Heaven Project Case Study” in Chapter 3 in PMP: Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide, found in the topic Resources.
Part 1: Logical Framework Template – Assumptions (Yellow Portion)
In this section of the assignment, you will focus on completing the Assumptions (the yellow portion) of the “Logical Framework Template” from Part 1 of the case study assignment. The specific requirements are as follows:
- Add a minimum of two assumptions for the Goal.
- Include at least two assumptions for the Purpose.
- Include at least two assumptions for each of your three Outcomes.
Part 2: Risk Register Template
Complete the “Risk Register Template” by listing a minimum of 10 risks directly associated with the project\’s goal, purpose, or outcomes. These risks, whether positive or negative, must be specific to the project and justifiable as valid risks. To ensure balance, a minimum of 30% of the listed risks should be positive (e.g., if you have 10 risks, at least three should be positive).
- Rank the risks in order of importance or criticality, with R1 having a greater impact on the project than R5.
- Categorize the risks according to the categories outlined in Chapter 6 of “PMP: Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide,” located in the Topic 5 Resources, which include Technical, Quality, Performance, Project Management, Organizational, and External.
- Assign appropriate Risk Response Strategies based on the type of risk (Threat or Opportunity), as described in Chapter 6 of “PMP: Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide,” located in the Topic 5 Resources.
