The literature review process is one of the most important parts of research. Onwuegbuzie (2018) stated, the literature review component represents the most important step of the research process in all empirical studies because it is the most effective way of becoming familiar with previous assumptions, ideas, beliefs, propositions, theories, schemas, models, hypotheses, findings, interpretations, research methodologies, and the like presented by researchers pertaining to a given topic of interest, thereby providing a foundation for meaningful research. The literature review sections are where researchers provide a review of writing on the topic to establish the researcher’s position on the topic. The role of literature review section is to give an overview of sources that researchers explore during the research process on the topic and to show readers how research is valid on a particular topic. It sets the outline for the rest of the paper on the set topic or field of study. Overall, the literature review section is where researchers present his/her purpose for their research.
