For this assignment, imagine your company (you can make one up or use one that currently exists) is interested in opening or moving to a new location (also of your choosing). As your audience, write to me as if I were the head of the Chamber of Commerce of that town; think of me as the person with all the answers when it
comes to matters of business in that town, and someone who, generally, is interested in new business development.
Make sure to include a list of specific questions that you would want answered. For
your response letter, you will answer a set of questions as if YOU are the head of the
Chamber of Commerce for your home town. (More on the response letter next
week.)
There will not be an opportunity to revise either of these two assignments, so make
sure you do an effective job drafting each letter on your own. (That is, make sure to
do multiple drafts.
