Learning experience for adults
As you’ve learned throughout this course, there is much to think about and consider when designing a Learning experience for adults learners. In this assignment, you design a proposal for an online workshop, requiring you to think critically about the type of workshop to create, why the workshop is important for a specific audience, and how to integrate some of the key concepts covered in the prior weeks of the course.
Refer to the Brainstorming Worksheet you completed in the Wk 5 Collaborative Group Discussion: Workshop Brainstorming Activity, specifically the peer review feedback section, and consider the feedback you received.
Confirm that the topic and/or skill you selected is one that you are comfortable with, that you have considerable knowledge about or competence in performing, and that will support a 2- to 3-hour online workshop in an adult education or training environment.
Consider the following as you prepare to write your proposal:
- Participants’ prerequisite knowledge and prior experiences related to the selected topic and/or skill
- Technological expertise required by the facilitator and participants
- Level of the workshop (e.g., beginning, intermediate, advanced)
- Practices for maintaining cultural competency
