A paper comparing your leadership style with one of the predominate leadership styles stated in the textbook. You should discuss which style you most closely identify with and why you identify most closely
with this style. In addition, you will provide your plan to further your own leadership development.
1.To identify your style, you should complete the two questionnaires
2. You will produce a paper that provides the following:
a. A title page that includes the title “Leadership Style Paper”, your name, and the date.
b. Section One. In section one of the paper, you will provide an interpretation of the scores you attained on each questionnaire and then based on what you discovered from the questionnaires
(1.) What did the questionnaires tell you about your leadership style?
(2.) Where you surprised or was the result what you expected?
(3.) How does your style compare to the leadership styles
described in the textbook? Why? Be specific.
c. Section Two. In section two, you will discuss your strengths and
weaknesses discovered through the questionnaire process and
provide your plan of action to improve your leadership skills.
This section must include the following five parts, as a minimum:
(1.) What are your initial development goals?
(2.) What are the ideal leadership traits you would like to
possess?
(3.) Which specific skills do you wish to further develop?
(4.) What specific actions are you going to take to develop these
skills? Here be very specific.
For example,
• Are you going to take additional courses? If so, what
courses?
• Are you going to seek a mentor(s)? How many? Who?
When?
• Are you going to read leadership books? If so, what
books?
• Are you going to use a journal to capture your personal
reflections and progress?
• Are you going to ask others to critique you when you
are in a leadership role?
• Are you going to use additional leadership
questionnaires to track your progress? If so, what
questionnaires?
(5.) How will you measure your progress toward obtaining these
skills?
3. Use in-text citations and provide a list of your sources in the form of a References page. In-text
citations and your list of sources must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th Edition (APA).
a. The paper will be no less than 800 words, not counting the title page and
references page
b. The paper must be double-spaced, utilize “Times New Roman” 12-pitch
type, with a one-inch margin at the top, bottom and both sides of each
