Kitty Kaplan schedule: Kitty Kaplan is a student and working mom who is having a hard time juggling all of her obligations. Please read the Scenario to learn more about Kitty and her problem.

Kitty Kaplan is a student and working mom with two kids ages 7 and 9. She gets up every day at 5:30 A.M. and goes for a 45 minute run. She gets ready for work and eats breakfast, leaving the house by 7:30. She drops the kids off at school at 8:00, before she goes to work. She works from 8:30 to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday as an office assistant, and has a one-hour lunch break at her job.
Kitty’s husband also works full time from 8:30-5:00 P.M. Kitty picks up her kids from after school care at 5:30, They get home at 6:00, and Kitty fixes dinner for the family. Kitty then does other chores around the house, finishing up around 8:30 or 9:00. She is taking two classes, and her Seminars are on Monday at 9:00 and 10:00 P.M.
Kitty believes she needs to spend 8-10 hours a week per class on schoolwork and studying in order to earn high grades, but she cannot seem to find the time and her grades are slipping. Kitty is feeling stressed, is not getting very much sleep, and feels that there are not enough hours in the day to do everything.

Kitty Kaplan schedule shows that she does not have effective strategies for time management. Kaplan poor grades in school are as a result of her multitasking capabilities.
