Italian fashion

 Students will write a Research Paper on the topic “Fashion and/as Culture in Italy”. This is simply a broad topic. When beginning to write your paper, you will need to narrow the focus of your investigation (e.g. 1. Renaissance and Italian Fashion: Did really the Italian Renaissance influence not only the arts, but also the men and women fashion? 2. Styling the self: The cultural forces that influence dress decisions in Italy. 3. Fashion as a mirror of Italian history: From the way people are dressed, we can see how they have lived. Etc.) The paper should be well-organized and in defense of a thesis statement. It must be completed independently and must include citations for all sources used (see Research Paper Rubric below). Failure to properly cite sources constitutes plagiarism (see below). The Research paper will be revised during the winter session
