INTL 501 Week 1 discussion
Hi Boniface,
For the discussion you sent me yesterday, please read the professor\’s response and reply and see how you can best answer her questions. I am attaching the exact discussion that you sent me for you to take a look at. Thanks.Regards.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for your discussion. You identified two issues and supported your positions with two credible sources. However, the discussion prompt directs students to use “this week\’s readings” and “material from the course lessons.” Further, the Discussion Guidelines require students to support their assertions using the CMOS author-date format. That means in-text parentheticals and a References (or Works Cited) list.
When a student\’s initial post is deficient in some way, or the student did not apply the concepts, I will ask questions to allow the student an opportunity to shore up weak points in their initial response before grading. My questions for you are:
- Which two sources from this week\’s lesson or readings might you use to support the assertions you made in your discussion?
- Review CMOS Section 15.21: Agreement of text citation and reference list entry, and then answer these questions:
- A: Where would you insert the in-text parenthetical citations to those two sources?
- B: What do the proper reference list citations to those two sources look like?
Please reply to my response when you answer the questions; don\’t return to your initial post, and edit or delete it.
I am looking forward to your reply to my questions and your replies to your classmates\’ posts. Let me know if you have questions.
Cheers,
Dr. b
PS: See also my replies to several classmates\’ posts about using the MyClassroom discussion post window defaults for font style and size. We never know if someone in the class needs accessibility, and we want to be inclusive. Thanks.
