The insecure avoidant children tend not to orient with their attachment figure during their process of investigating the environment. These children tend of being very independent of the attachment figure both emotionally and physically. The children don not seek contact with the attachment figure during moments of distress. Based on the incapable nature of being dependent on their attachment figure such children tend to have caregivers who are rejecting and insensitive to their needs.
