The ability to influence other is not only crucial for management and leadership, but also useful in an individual’s career. For example, when in an interview for a job position, the use of influencing tactics functions as a demonstration of why you should be chosen as the best candidate for the available position. On the other hand, while being in a team, influencing tactics enhance the capability to bring everybody on board. It’s humane in nature to have influencing tactics, but some people are incapable of identifying their unique skills.
