Identify effective methods for working with management and employees.
Assignment Details: dentify effective methods for working with management and employees.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, HR leaders were tasked with a new duty: calculating and reporting staffing statistics for their organization. Typically, this type of reporting is done for hospitals, although outpatient facilities with large staff bases, or those connected to a health system, benefited from tracking these statistics. By reporting staffing statistics, other employees can be prepared for changes in their work hours, expansion of job duties, or even delays in providing patient care. Reporting these statistics also provides transparency and establishes trust between employees and their HR department. While the topic of vaccination itself can be polarizing, many healthcare facilities are obligated to report statistics related to COVID positive employees in conjunction with their vaccination status. Teaching hospitals, for example, may use this data for additional scientific research purposes.
Review the document provided, which details the staffing structure of the Herzing Health System.
Prepare a set of three (3) daily reports reflecting the following data, expressed in numerical or percentage format, depending on the type of data:
Total positive staff cases
Positive staff cases classified by vaccination status
Number of staff eligible to return to work (you will create fictitious data for this)
Number of positive staff cases by facility
Using basic principles of mathematics and statistics, calculate and interpret the staffing data to include in your daily report. There are multiple ways to explain this data. Remember the primary goal of sharing this data is to quickly and easily inform your staff and leadership teams. You may create summaries for individual facilities, or for Herzing Health as a whole system.
Prepare a summary for each category of data: staff out as positive, categorized by vaccination status.
Example of interpreting the data:
The Herzing Health System has 321 out of 8,500 employees who have not received any COVID-19 vaccine. On January 1, there were 245 employees out as COVID positive. 53 of these employees were unvaccinated. 16% of all unvaccinated system employees were reported out and positive on January 1.
APA requirements: Title and reference pages, five sources. In-text citations are not required due to the nature of the assignment.
Please watch the following video rundown of assignment #5 and note, that you need to download and use the Excel file located at the bottom of the assignment instructions for this one as it contains ALL of the information you need! Remember, you need 3 separate reports here, one for Hospital A, B, and all of the outpatient clinics. Be sure to mind the days also (January 1, January 2, January 3) as I had shown in the video.
