The topic that I have selected for this assignment is ‘The war on terror has contributed to abuse of human rights’. The reason why I have selected this topic is because of the pain and suffering that the terror suspects usually go through during interrogation. At the same time, they usually receive very heavy penalties if found guilty, with some of these punishments denying them their basic human rights (Apodaca, 2006).
