I think the middle image with the tree is the most straightforward, but I don’t think that the message of all three is exactly the same. Image 2 shows church leadership above secular leadership while image 3 shows them on the same level with the monarch emphasized (it is however probably noteworthy that the church is at the right hand of the monarch). The clear line drawn between orders in images 2 and 3 shows a clear idealized differentiation. While not directly applicable to this discussion (much later time period), if you read A Tale of Two Cities it probably isn’t too far from the truth. The figurative line drawn between classes was seemingly quite distinct.
The images include secular and church leaders, knights, sailors, merchants, and farmers. The images include a reasonable mix of males and females, but lack ethic diversity. This may or may not be reasonable depending on what the artist is trying to represent and their location, level of travel, and exposure.
Art is frequently used as a tool to assess societies from history. It depicts, at a minimum, a reliable representation of the perspective of the artist. While attempt must be made to interpret them with this in mind (certainly with varying levels of success), I think the ideas they represent are generally reliable.
