The Fear of Public Speaking
Public Speaking fear
When giving a speech i notice that they have lots of people that’s really nervous. We all seen the people that stutter when there nervous and tend to get clumsy over the matter of minutes. But then they have those people like the president or comedian and other people they can go on stage and make it look easy. I notice i tend to get nervous when i look in the crowd and see people i know and then i think to myself is this really what i want to do. Growing up i had to make a lot of speeches for mostly projects.
My first speech cam around the times i was in elementary. The subject that i was covering was civil war so you know i had lots of talking and explanations to give. Man when i tell you it was every student in 5th grade there parents and mostly all of the teachers. At first when i starting reading i tend to get nervous and started to mess up on the words, but as time came i started to get comfortable. I fell that the person who help me get through was my family and Friends. You may say parents and friends but my friend went before me. Then i said to myself if he can do it then so can I.
Last, once you get older you tend not to care what people think. Now when i stand in front of a class or on stage i just think happy and positive thoughts. I feel that god wouldn’t put me in any situation i couldn’t handle. I know that sometimes people in the audience maybe laughing or talking but just make sure you cover the subject. Now i fell i can give a speech anywhere
Student 2: Fear of Public Speaking
In my opinion I think the actual problem Is fear of not being a good speaker, being laughed at, or performance anxiety. I personally have a lot of anxiety and stage fright. For fear of humiliation the best antidote is actually doing it over and over. Practice makes perfect. I’m actually starting to speaking to smaller groups, then larger ones for practice like my friends and co-workers. Hopefully after completing this class I will be able to speak anywhere. So overcoming this fear takes practice, the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
…………………..Answer preview………………………..
I have noticed that the student was nervous just as every person. Delivering a public speech is a tedious activity that requires preparedness. It is evident that the student did not have confidence in herself when delivering the public speech. Confidence is gained through delivering as many public speeches as possible……………………..
